Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)

Study social emotional learning (SEL) as a process for developing key competencies required for successful participation in school and other settings. Examine SEL frameworks, strategies, resources, and ideas for incorporating SEL into various settings and relationships.

Building Resilience in Mental & Behavioral Health (BRMBH)

What is a microcredential?

A micro-credential is a short, competency-based program that allows an educator to demonstrate mastery in a particular area.

Micro-credential recognition varies by institution.

What does it cost?

The 12 credit micro-credential is normally $730.

There is currently no cost ($0) for completing the program. Cambia Health Foundation has provided funding to cover the tuition of these courses this year.

How do I enroll?

To earn an SBMH microcredential through SOU, you must complete:

  • 12 x 1 credit courses (each WebPD counts as 1)
  • 12 x 5 hours of practical application in the field
  • 12 x 1-page paper

Credits are recognized at SOU as the equivalent of ED 207.
