The SOESD Media Materials Library has subscribed to this service for all of our schools. This service allows you to live-stream or download full-length programs or clips of programs. It has clip art that you can use (copyright free). There are print resources to use, as well as a lot of other wonderful resources! To access it go to http://www.soesd.k12.or.us/ and click on Online Catalog, Video Streaming and Online Databases. Click on the link entitled Subscription Services. This will bring you to a page where all of our subscription services are shown. You need a passcode to get started. All school secretaries were sent this information in a packet sent out via our couriers at the beginning of September. At PowerMediaPlus.com, you gain access to thousands of multimedia components across all media types all created specifically for the classroom. There are 3,200 educational videos, more than 18,000 core concept video clips, 6,000 curriculum-oriented audio files, 25,000 photographs, illustrations, and clip art images, 5,000 print resources, including standards-based learning objectives, and a growing collection of user-created podcasts. What's wonderful is that teachers and students can use the clips, images and other resources without worrying about copyright infringement.

All these resources can be used because of the SOESD's subscription to this service. Users have a variety of ways to search for content. Key word search, searching by grade level, searching by subject, and searching the Oregon Benchmarks as well as searching by type of media (clip art, video, audio etc.) all provide users ways to find the materials they want. Speaking of Media's the content is a collection of the best resources from the best educational media companies. Nothing is over 6 years old. Current content is added almost every week. There are many, many ways to utilize this subscription. It is very user-friendly and allows teachers to create classes, add quizzes and let students access assignments made by their teachers.
Training resources are plentiful. Once logged in, teachers can access the Training Center. There are print, multimedia and webinar trainings available. In addition, there are monthly trainings provided by Bryant at the SOESDs Computer Lab.
