Availability of Program:
There is no extra charge to reserve a date in advance. September and October are the recommended months for making your reservations. The program fees will be discounted by $25 per class size if reservations are made by November 1.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of dates are available for groups of 70+ students.
Date availability depends on the size of the group, the hours of the field trip, and the extent of skiing/snowboarding groups that may already be scheduled at the same time. The Winter Science Program typically has capacity for somewhere between 40 and 80 classes per season.
Program's Fee structure is based on the amount of time Mt. Ashland will be providing educational activities. The price includes riding the Sonnet Chairlift to access our outdoor educational area. Boot rental is also included free of charge for those students who do not have winter boots. Our boot supply may be limited.

School Standards Addressed:
Concepts and age-appropriate content that connect to the latest Oregon Science Education Standards will be taught in every Winter Science activity. Teachers may introduce pre-and-post activities that tie in concepts from the field trip with what is being pursued in the classroom. Teachers may work with program staff to customize or develop additional activities to enrich the students' learning experience. Contact the Youth Programs Director for more details.
